Time and Toys
Time and ToysWhere shall we go?
Where did we come from? Are these two different questions or just the same inquiry in different ways? No one can escape thinking about time. For example, when we see a traveller with luggage, how can we tell if s/he is on his/her way back home or just departing? Is it a must for us to really go somewhere? A person’s actual conditions are likely to be different from what others conjecture. Do we really have a grip on our life? We may well decide to live in the present, but does “the present” really exist? Helen Ko Hoi Lam crosses over from theatre to physical expression. Time and Toys is a sequel to her first creation, Almost, as she continues to decode the anxiety towards time. With her fully-grown body to which she is still adapting, Helen will reveal what she feels in the present moment, a chaotic time-space that is dissociating, illusory and absurd. |
