Macau Experimental Theatre Formerly known as the Horizon Theatre (Macao) founded in January 2, 2008, Macau experimental Theatre is a non-profit theatre company with the mission to promote local theatrical art and enhance (local) performers’ professionalism and techniques. it has presented more than 30 dramas, such as One Good Person and The Golden Dragon respectively featured in the 23rd and 24th Macao Arts Festival, Theatre Challenges (an exchange platform for presenting dramas from different regions), and theatre seasons Boldness and Post Wave; others include: Our Town, Antigone, Beyond the Horizon, Underpaid? Don’t Pay!, The Cherry Orchard, The Good Woman of Setzuan, The New Tenant, and music theatre The Guitar Man. Over the years, the company has gained huge experience in performing and achieved good results duly recognized by the theatre industry. For example, it presented its debut Beyond the Horizon and The Cherry Orchard at Small Auditorium of the Macao Cultural Centre (CCM) respectively in 2008 and 2010; they were instant box-office hits requiring extra shows, a feat rarely seen in local theatre industry. in 2011, it was invited by the Macao Chinese Theatre Institute to present at the 8th Chinese Theatre Festival (Macao 2011) Taboo Games of Youth, widely acclaimed by theatre experts from china, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. In 2012, it presented site-specific theatre One Good Person at the 23rd Macao Arts Festival, and also staged another three pieces for its theatre season Boldness, namely Copenhagen, Martha Does Not Wear a Bra, and Egg-sized Cockroaches Are Rampant, receiving much appreciation and acclaim.
點象藝術協會是澳門一非牟利藝術文化團體,宗旨是推動多元藝術文化創作、跨領域交流。主要以多媒體劇場為創作媒介,透過前衛與實驗的演出,突破劇場的可能性,擴闊觀眾視野。 業務範圍包括從事藝術文化創作和藝術推廣教育和研究,提高廣大藝術愛好者的藝術修養和綜合素質,推動文藝創作及評論;開展藝術教育的交流與合作,與香港、內地、海外等有關社團開展藝術文化的交流與合作。 自2008年成立至今,已製作及策劃多個具代表性的澳門表演藝術作品,包括水墨意象形體劇場《玩.風景》,曾於台北、澳門、北京、蘇州、溫州、上海、香港、波蘭貝托姆、韓國首爾、葡萄牙波爾圖及吉馬良斯、斯洛文尼亞、佛得角明德盧及普拉亞、英國愛丁堡等地演出;2012年亦展開了另一突破本澳劇場空間的計劃,製作「城市中的露水」的充氣劇場,帶著劇場跑進社區進行不同的藝術活動,同年,亦製作了澳門首個「公路式連載紀錄片」於電視台播放;2013年《玩.風景》到非首佛得角巡演,獲總統頒授 Mindelact International Theatre Festival 尊崇獎;2014年,以「Made in Macao」為主題,將《玩.風景》、《墓所事事》及《格子爬格子》帶到愛丁堡藝穗節演出一個月,並獲提名「亞洲藝術大獎」,及後往北京、廣州及首爾巡演,全年海外演出100場。
Point View Art Association is a non-profit art and cultural association formed in Macau, with a mandate to produce art and cultural creations, and to conduct education and research. With members from a diverse range of professions, including theatre directors, visual artists, filmmakers, composers, designers and performers, multimedia theatre is one of the company’s most specific aims. The Association strives to discover more possibilities for theatre arts and to expand new visions for audiences through experimental performances, while at the same time works to increase the level of art appreciation in the region by developing exchange and collaboration on art education projects with groups in Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas countries. Since their founding in 2008, they have created several productions including Playing Landscape which has been performed in Taipei, Macau, Beijing, Suzhou, Wenzhou, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Bytom in Poland, Seoul in Korea, Porto & Guimarães in Portugal, Maribor in Slovenia, Mindelo & Praia in Cape Verde, Edinburgh in UK; in 2012, they began an educational project “Dew Drop in the City” which build a giant inflated theatre and continues to tour to many schools and communities in Macau; in the same year, they also produced a series of television episodes documenting their adventurous road trips touring Playing Landscape in Europe, travelling all the time in caravans; in 2013, they received a Homage Award of Mindelact International Theatre Festival from the president of Cape Verde; in 2014, they organised "Made in Macao" series in Edinburgh Festival Fringe with "Playing Landscape", "Picnic in the Cemetery" & "Puzzle the Puzzle". "Playing Landscape" was nominated for the "Asian Arts Award". Following by a tour to Beijing, Guangzhou and Seoul. They have presented 100 performances oversea in that year.
