Between the Winds
I have read you well from your eyes, and I have seen myself clearly between the winds.
From where should we start when we try to know other people? Which original point shall we stand when we want to understand ourselves? The self-interpersonal relationship implies a long and ever-changing journey. Between the Winds illustrates this relationship with three solos and a quartet. Lam Lai Keng, a student majoring in composition in the Netherlands, will transport the audience into a series of sound experiments, in an attempt to transform visual sense into audio sense and re-play it.
One of the solos, Thinking Out Loud, was released in April at the campus-based Hague Spring Festival, while the other three have not yet been performed in public. This time, Lai Keng officially releases them in her native Macao, via the BOK Festival platform, inviting excellent local young instrumentalists and dancers for an experiment together.
